Succession Research

Pick two people on the Presidential Success list and research them for 20mins.
Give a brief description of each person in your blog.   Their title, responsibilities, life...etc.


Joe Biden
Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., was born November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  At age 29 he became one of the youngest people ever elected to the United States Senate.  Just weeks after the election his wife and 1year-old daughter were killed in a car accident, and his two sons were put in critical care.  Later in life he married Jill Jacobs, and he has three children.  He served 36 years as a Deleware Senator, and is now our 47th Vice President.

Ray LaHood
Ray LaHood is the Secretary of Transportation and was nominated by President Obama.  He became the 16th Secretary of Transportation on January 23, 2009.  Before then he served 14 years in the U.S House of Representatives from the 18th district of Illinois.  He also served as Chief of staff to U.S. congressman Robert Michel.  Before his career in government he was a jr. high teacher.  He and his wife, Kathy, have four children and nine grandchildren.
