The Role of the Presidency

This website lists seven roles that the President of the United States must do.  They are: Chief of State, Chief Executive, Chief Diplomat, Commander in Chief, Chief Legislator, Chief of Party, and Chief Guardian of the Economy.

The President has many different jobs that he needs to preform.  Some of his jobs include approving federal laws and bills made by Congress or Senate, leading the nations people, managing the government, representing the U.S. in meetings with other countries, and commanding the U.S. military.

The President of the United States is the head of state and head of government.  The president leads the federal goverment and commands United States Armed Forces.  The power of the president has continued to grow and change over the years.  No one president can be elected for a third full term.

The president holds the executive power according to the U.S. Constitution.  The president also serves as Commander in Chief of all United States Military with the help of the Departments of Security and Homeland Security.  Also the president is the adminstrative head of the executive branch of the Government.
